Falls Creek, Hotham Alpine Resort & Mt Buller - Victoria

Hotham - Nestling just below the summit of the 1861m Mount Hotham with 360 degree breathtaking views and 320 skiiable hectares, 13 lifts, 66 runs and 35km of cross country trails, this resort is a snow sports paradise. Snowmaking and grooming across 25ha let runs open earlier and last longer. With four terrain parks – lifted 245ha, beginners 20%, intermediate 40% and advanced 40%, the highest lifted point is 1,845m, and cross country trails vary from 2km to 15km. The double black diamond extreme terrain and steep valley runs here are legendary. There is plenty of accommodation, a free village shuttle, clothing and equipment hire, nightclubs, bars, restaurants and cafés, meeting and conference facilities, a supermarket and newsagent, post office, shops, hot pools, spas, sauna and gym, medical and emergency services, and the nearby charming alpine village of Dinner Plain complements these facilities.

Falls Creek - Victoria’s biggest alpine resort with more than 450ha of skiiable area is just 30km from picturesque Mount Beauty. The village, Australians only true ski in ski out, is at 1600m, beautifully situated in the centre of the high alpine plains with 15 lifts, the highest at 1780m. With an alpine terrain mix of beginners 17%, intermediate 60% and expert 23% there is room for everyone with more than 92 skiing trails and a 3km longest advanced run. For cross country skiing there are 21 FREE trails, with a groomed trail network of 65km, the longest trail 21km, and a terrain mix of beginner 33%, intermediate 48%, and expert  19%. Ski and equipment hire is readily available at 5 village locations. There are many eating and fine dining places, including a supermarket, and over 5,000 beds available. You’ll find banking and shopping arcade, internet access, newsagent, post office, gym, and medical and emergency services. The Resort operates a complimentary Village Shuttle transport service or alternatively you can hail a ride in the ‘snowcab’.

Buller - Three hours drive from Melbourne. Mt Buller is close enough for a day’s escape yet far enough away for a holiday. Mt Buller has everything you need for the perfect winter experience. 300 hectares of skiable terrain. There is something to appeal to all levels of ability. Our runs range from the wide beginner’s slopes of Bourke St and Burnt Hut Spur, to the challenge of our black runs like Chamois and the back of Summit. 22 lifts. Mt Buller has the largest lift network in Victoria with thirteen chairlifts, three of which are high speed detachables, four T-bars, two rope tows (counted as one) and four magic carpets.

Perisher Valley & Thredbo - New South Wales

7 day packages to kakuba - JapanPerisher - Perisher (known as Perisher Blue until 2009) is the largest ski resort in the southern hemisphere.Located in the Australian Snowy Mountains, the resort is an amalgamation of four villages (Perisher Valley, Smiggin Holes, Guthega, and Blue Cow) and their associated ski fields, covering approximately 12 square kilometres (4.6 sq mi), with the base elevation at 1,720 metres (5,640 ft) AHD, and the summit elevation of 2,054 metres (6,739 ft) at the top of Mount Perisher. 4.4 square kilometres (1.7 sq mi) of this area is covered by 240 snow guns, which are used to artificially supplement the natural snowfall, particularly since the drought commencing in the early 2000s.

The resort is accessible by road and by the Skitube, Australia's only underground rack railway. The main skiing period is in July and August, with the official season running from the second weekend in June to the first weekend of October. Perisher consists of 47 lifts: The Village Eight Express, an eight seater chairlift (built in 2003), three high-speed quad detachable chairlifts, four fixed-grip quad chairlifts, four double chairlifts, two triple chairlifts, 21 T-Bars, three J-bars, seven ski carpets, and 2 rope tows. The run difficulties are graded 22% beginner, 60% intermediate and 18% advanced.

Thredbo - Thredbo Village and ski resort is in the Snowy Mountains of New South Wales, Australia, and a part of the Snowy River Shire. Thredbo is about 500 kilometres south of Sydney, accessible by theAlpine Way via Cooma, Berridale, and Jindabyne. The village is built in the valley of the Thredbo River, also known as the Crackenback River, at the foot of the Ramshead Range.

The town has around 4150 beds, but a permanent population of only about 477 people. When the mountain is fully covered by snow, Thredbo has the longest ski runs in Australia, and this attracts around 700,000 winter visitors annuall
